This is the MALACHITE FAQ.

What is this software?

It's a tool for building digital electronics circuits and allowing their behavior to be simulated. The idea is that it should be a useful learning aid for first year computer science students, and also school-age students of electronics.

It is licenced under the BSD open source licence. (see Licensing to find out what this means).

Why did you write it?

We had to. It was a compulsory Computer Science degree project.

So who are you, anyway?

Students of Computer Science at the Computer Laboratory of Cambridge University. Six of us are second year students, and the seventh is an odd kind of vet-student come compsci in her third year.
